SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Permits/Enforcement Committee to receive a report from EAA staff regarding various water well metering programs as they are outlined in Chapter 711 (Groundwater Withdrawals), Subchapter M (Meters; Reporting) of the EAA’s rules. Matters to be discussed include irrigation permitted well metering operations and maintenance; limited production well and permitted well annual inspections and annual use reporting; meter accuracy verification testing and the Meter Matters Smartphone application. Additionally, staff will update the Committee on the Voluntary Automated Meter Reading program and the associated Bureau of Reclamation Financial Assistance Grant for Calendar Years 2023 and 2024.
EAA staff will discuss these programs and provide a general review of 2023 program activities.
