RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve amending the 2021 EAA Operating Budget by transferring $247,000 from Public Information Professional Technical Services to Capital Assets, Property Services and Supplies accounts.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to amend the 2021 EAA Operating Budget by transferring $247,000 from Professional Technical Services to Capital Assets, Property Services and Supplies accounts in the Public Information program.
In the adopted 2021 EAA Operating Budget, funds for purchases related to the Education Outreach Center (EOC) were budgeted in Professional Technical Services. The transfer of funds from Professional Technical Services to Capital Assets, Property Services and Supplies accounts will allow for the proper recording of purchases for the EOC in the EAA financial statements. Sufficient funds are available for transfer in the Public Information program.
The attached spreadsheet summarizes the proposed budget amendment discussed above. The transfer of funds between accounts has no net fiscal impact.
At the meeting on August 24, the Finance/Administrative Committee voted to approve the recommended motion above.
