RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve an agreement with Bridgehead IT, Inc., for technology support services in an amount not to exceed $74,400, for the period of March 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to approve an agreement with Bridgehead IT, Inc., for technology support services from March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $74,400. This agreement is to engage third party support, to maintain and monitor EAA hardware and related peripheral equipment to ensure optimal functionality of our systems. In examining the feasibility of this service, staff determined that engaging third party support is more advantageous than bringing this service in-house at the present time.
Bridgehead IT, Inc., the proposed vendor for EAA technology support services, is a vendor on the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) vendor list. The DIR negotiates agreements with vendors for technology services and equipment at preferred pricing. Government entities within Texas can purchase goods and services from these agreements and take advantage of these pre-negotiated prices and services, without conducting a formal procurement process.
At the meeting on January 26, the Finance/Administrative Committee voted to recommend the board approve an agreement with Bridgehead IT, Inc., for technology support services in an amount not to exceed $74,400, for the period of March 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.
