STAFF RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board adopt Resolution and Order No. 08-20-972 of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors approving Contract No. 20-027-CDS between the EAA and Exhibit Concepts, Inc., to conceptualize, develop, construct, and install interactive exhibits at the EAA Education Outreach Center, in the amount of $785,000.00 for the period August 12, 2020, through December 31, 2021, with an option to renew for two additional years.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an EAA staff recommendation to approve a contract with Exhibit Concepts, Inc., to facilitate the conceptualization, development, construction and installation of interactive exhibits at the EAA Education Outreach Center.
At the July 14 meeting, the board approved a rank order list of potential firms to undertake this work, selecting Exhibit Concepts, Inc., as the most qualified, and authorized the General Manager to negotiate a contract with Exhibit Concepts, Inc. This was the first step in a two-step procurement process.
The second step is now for the board to consider a staff recommendation to approve the contract with Exhibit Concepts, Inc. A scope of work has been agreed upon, as well as a timeline of activity, which will guide the work moving forward and facilitate timely completion. The draft contract and associated Resolution and Order, which have been reviewed by legal counsel, are attached to this summary.
