RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve Contract No. 20-004-AFS between the EAA and Quacito LLC, for website development and maintenance, for the total fixed amount of $98,962.08, for the period March 16, 2020 through March 15, 2021, with an option to renew for two additional years.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to approve a contract with Quacito LLC, for the continued maintenance and development of the EAA website. Quacito LLC, developed the current EAA website in 2019. This website went live in October 2019, and since this time EAA staff has been working with Quacito to enhance functionality for end-users. The proposed agreement will allow Quacito to continue to support EAA staff in these efforts through 2020.
Quacito LLC, is a vendor on the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) vendor list. The DIR negotiates agreements with vendors for technology services and equipment at preferred pricing. Government entities within Texas, like the EAA, can purchase goods and services from these agreements and take advantage of these pre-negotiated prices and services, without conducting a formal procurement process. The attached contract reflects the DIR pricing discounts and has been reviewed by legal counsel.
At the February 25 meeting, the Finance/Administrative Committee voted to recommend the board approve Contract No. 20-004-AFS between the EAA and Quacito LLC, for website development and maintenance, for the total fixed amount of $98,962.08, for the period March 16, 2020 through March 15, 2021, with an option to renew for two additional years.
