RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board amend the 2020 EAA Operating budget by increasing the General Fund appropriation for Professional Services by $435,211, and decreasing the Conservation/Aquifer Protection Fund by $435,211.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to amend the 2020 EAA Operating budget by increasing the General Fund appropriation by $435,211, to fund activities in furtherance of the Agricultural Secondary Containment Assistance Program (AgSCAP) that will bring specific, previously identified agricultural tanks on the Recharge Zone into compliance with EAA containment regulations. This amendment is associated with approval of a tank upgrade contract considered on the previous agenda item, but will also fund future contracts for other identified sites.

At the February 25 meeting, the Finance/Administrative Committee voted to recommend the board amend the 2020 EAA Operating budget by increasing the General Fund appropriation for Professional Services by $435,211, and decreasing the Conservation/Aquifer Protection Fund by $435,211.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The effect of these amendments will be to increase the 2020 Operating Budget for the General Fund by $435,211, and reduce the Conservation/Aquifer Protection Fund by the same amount.
