RECOMMENDED MOTION:

 

Move the Implementing Committee approve the City of New Braunfels 2020 Funding Application and amendments to the 2020 Work Plan.

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Implementing Committee to approve the City of New Braunfels 2020 Funding Application to support the Conservation Measures detailed in the amended 2020 Work Plan.

 

Amendments to the 2020 Work Plan include revisions to Impervious Cover and Water Quality Protection (EAHCP § 5.7.6) for the engineering design of a stormwater retrofit project at Landa Park Aquatics Center parking lot, and the addition of monitoring for parasites (Haplorchis pumilio and C. formosanus) at any flow rate to the Monitoring and Reduction of Gill Parasites (EAHCP § 5.2.6/6.3.6) Conservation Measure.

 

The City of New Braunfels 2020 Funding Application and Work Plan are attached.

 

The City of New Braunfels 2020 Funding Application meets the obligations of Article Six of the Funding and Management Agreement.

 

The amendments to the City of New Braunfels 2020 Work Plan meet the obligations of Article Four of the Funding and Management Agreement.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

The total fiscal impact of this item is $583,000, which is included in the City of New Braunfels 2020 Work Plan. This amount is $13,000 more the original Annualized Implementation Costs as described in Table 7.1 of the EAHCP and $17,000 less than the 2020 available budget.
