The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to approve three groundwater conservation grant contracts.  Under the EAA's Water Conservation Grant Program, the EAA is awarding grants for the installation of water conservation equipment for irrigation purposes.

At the August 6 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board authorize the general manager to execute water conservation grant contracts with the following entities to transition from flood irrigation to center pivot irrigation systems:

Mr. John T. Brigman (Uvalde County) - $47,821.77

Lonesome Dove Corner/Rocky Ridge Mountain LLC (Uvalde County) - $73,037.39

JV Limited (Medina County) - $78,205.70

Staff estimates these projects will conserve 476 acre-feet of water per year.  These contracts, which have been reviewed by legal counsel, are attached.
