Body

STAFF RECOMMENDED MOTION:

Move the Executive Committee approve the draft agenda for the August 13, 2019, technical briefing.

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Executive Committee to consider approval of a draft agenda for the August 13, 2019, technical briefing. The technical briefing will consist of a presentation from representatives of Southwest Sustainable Water Supply (formally known to the EAA Board of Directors as Heritage Commodities) regarding its potential project that is proposed to produce groundwater from the Edwards-Trinity Aquifer in Val Verde County, and transport such water for artificial recharge into the Edwards Aquifer through a natural recharge feature east of the Knippa Gap in the San Antonio Pool and within the boundaries of the EAA for storage and subsequent recovery for a beneficial use.  The ultimate goal associated with the potential project would be to obtain legal authorization from the EAA to artificially recharge and store the transported groundwater in the Edwards Aquifer for subsequent recovery of a portion of the groundwater for application to a beneficial use within the EAA’s jurisdictional boundaries.

Attached is the draft agenda for the technical briefing.  This agenda is subject to change by the Executive Committee.
