Title
Consider recommendation from the Executive Committee to approve an amendment to the 2019 City of New Braunfels EAHCP Funding Application.

Body
RECOMMENDED MOTION:

Move the board adopt Resolution and Order No. 06-19-935 of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors approving an amendment to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan FY2019 Funding Application of the City of New Braunfels to transfer $2,200 between budget items within the currently approved application.

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to approve an amendment to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan (EAHCP) FY2019 Funding Application for the City of New Braunfels. This amendment would transfer $2,200 from the Decaying Vegetation Removal and Dissolved Oxygen Management Conservation Measure (EAHCP § 5.2.4) to the Native Riparian Habitat Restoration Conservation Measure (EAHCP § 5.7.1).

On November 13, 2018, the board approved the initial Funding Application for FY2019 for the City of New Braunfels and amended the Funding Application on February 12, 2019. Additional funds are needed for the installation of a temporary irrigation line to water the vegetation planted in the riparian restoration areas. Funding for this initiative will be transferred between budget accounts, allowing the total FY2019 Funding Application amount to remain at $665,000.

At the June 4 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board adopt a resolution and order of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors approving an amendment to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan FY2019 Funding Application of the City of New Braunfels to transfer $2,200 between budget items within the currently approved application. Attached to this summary is the red-lined version of the amended funding application, and Resolution and Order No. 06-19-935, which was reviewed by legal counsel.
