RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve the purchase and installation of office furniture from Workplace Resource, in an amount not to exceed $93,517.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to approve the purchase and installation of 84 sit-to-stand bases, four Kimball office furniture set ups, and one office reconfiguration in an amount not to exceed $93,517. Attached to this summary is an itemized quote from Workplace Resource for the office furniture to be purchased.
Workplace Resource is a vendor on the State of Texas General Services (GSA) vendor list. The GSA negotiates agreements with vendors for technology services and equipment at preferred pricing. Government entities within Texas, like the EAA, can purchase goods and services from these agreements and take advantage of these pre-negotiated prices and services, without conducting a formal procurement process.
At the June 4 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board approve the purchase and installation of office furniture from Workplace Resource, in an amount not to exceed $93,517, contingent on survey assessing staff needs for sit-to-stand desks.
