SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Research & Technology Committee to receive a report from EAA staff discussing the purpose and merit of developing a field research observatory. The proposed observatory provides an opportunity to conduct field research designed to improved water quality and quantity while also providing educational opportunities designed to raise aquifer awareness. This report item will provide a discussion of proposed background data collection, monitoring technologies, and future land management practices for the proposed field observatory. The objective of this report is to provide the committee with a better understanding of long-term goals designed to contribute to understanding, protecting, and managing the aquifer.
