RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board adopt Resolution and Order No. 04-19-932 of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors approving an amendment to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan FY2019 Funding Application for the EAA to increase the amount of this funding application by $1,241,906 for Refugia activities, resulting in a total revised FY2019 Funding Application amount not to exceed $18,215,622.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to approve an amendment to the EAHCP FY2019 Funding Application for the EAA to increase the requested amount from $1,156,284 to $2,398,190 for Refugia activities.
On November 13, 2018, the board approved EAA’s initial Funding Application for FY2019. The budget amounts presented in the original Funding Application represented the costs contained in the original workplans. However, Refugia construction originally anticipated to occur in 2018, was delayed until 2019. Therefore, cost savings from 2018 need to be reappropriated in 2019. The amended funding application was approved by the EAHCP Implementing Committee at the March 21, 2019 meeting. Attached to this summary is a red-lined version of the amended funding application. Resolution and Order No. 04-19-932, which has been reviewed by legal counsel, is also attached.
