SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to receive a report from Scott Storment, Senior Director - Threatened & Endangered Species, on the Comprehensive Phase II Work Plan process and timeline. The 15-year Incidental Take Permit issued by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service effective March 2013, is divided into two Phases.  Phase I ends December 31, 2019.  Phase II begins January 1, 2020 and runs through the end of the ITP.

 

As defined in Section 4.3 of the EAHCP Funding and Management Agreement, the Phase II Work Plan includes descriptions, schedules and cost estimates for ongoing Phase I conservation measures for Phase II implementation and all program activities. A draft of the Comprehensive Phase II Work Plan, which includes comments form the EAHCP Implementing Committee members, is attached to this agenda item.  Staff will seek approval of the Comprehensive Phase II Work Plan at the May 23, 2019 Implementing Committee meeting.
