RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board direct the General Manager to take all steps necessary to have legislation filed regarding the transition of the EAA Act from Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to receive a report from EAA staff regarding developments associated with the EAA's 2019 legislative priorities. Based on the information reported, the board may make a motion regarding the filing of pieces legislation.
At the February 4 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board authorize the General Manager to file legislation related to the transition of the EAA Act from Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code.
