SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Executive Committee to receive a report from EAA staff regarding the status of the EAA's 2018 Water Conservation Grant Program. This year the EAA is awarding water conservation grants for the installation of water conservation equipment for irrigation purposes. At the August 6 meeting, staff will present a report on the status of the grant process and discuss projects that staff proposes to fund, including the funding process.
If the committee is agreeable, and in order to provide the maximum amount of time to ensure funded projects are completed by the end of the year, EAA staff would like to present grant funding contracts for board consideration at the August 14 EAA Board of Directors meeting.

This agenda item supports the EAA's policy direction as set forth in the EAA 2016-20 Strategic Plan: Goal B. Ensure Effective Management of the Edwards Aquifer.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for water conservation grant programs is available in the 2018 operating budget. Available funds in 2018 total approximately $200,000.
