RECOMMENDED MOTION:

Move the board adopt Resolution and Order No. 02-18-896 of the Edwards Aquifer Authority Board of Directors approving an Interlocal Contract between the EAA and Texas State University for the purpose of conducting an Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan (EAHCP) applied research study on the development of a Sessom Creek Sediment/Constituent Export Loading Analysis, in an amount not to exceed $156,306, for the period of March 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019, and authorize the General Manager to execute the contract.


SUMMARY:

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Research & Technology Committee recommendation to approve an Interlocal Contract between EAA and Texas State University to conduct an EAHCP applied research study on the development of a Sessom Creek Sediment/Constituent Export Loading Analysis.

This project is a part of the EAHCP Applied Research program and is required as part of the Incidental Take Permit issued by USFWS on March 18, 2013. Specifically, this item is related to the obligations of Section 6.3 of the EAHCP.

To solicit the required services, EAA staff advertised a Request for Proposals (RFP) consistent with the standard EAA procurement process. On September 11, 2017, EAA staff sent RFP packets to more than two hundred (200) potential vendors. Of those vendors, eight (8) were M/WBEs.
