RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve Resolution and Order No. 02-18-897 directing the General Manager to discontinue offering a conservation contract to permit holders indefinitely until reinstituted by order of the board.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider a Finance/Administrative Committee recommendation to direct the General Manager to discontinue offering a conservation contract to permit holders indefinitely until reinstituted by order of the board. EAA staff will provide the board with a report on the status and history of the EAA’s conservation contract program, commonly referred to as a “contract down”. EAA staff recommended that this program be discontinued, at least temporarily, to focus the EAA’s conservation program on the EAHCP and the EAA’s groundwater trust.
At the January 23 meeting, the Finance/Administrative Committee voted to recommend the board approve a resolution and order directing the General Manager to discontinue offering a conservation contract to permit holders indefinitely until reinstituted by order of the board.
