RECOMMENDED MOTION:

 

Move the board amend the employment agreement with Mr. Roland Ruiz, as presented.

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to amend the employment agreement with Mr. Roland Ruiz based on the board’s evaluation of the General Manager at the December 12, 2017 board meeting.  Attached to this summary is a draft letter agreement amending the terms of Mr. Ruiz’s employment contract accordingly.  Legal counsel has reviewed this letter agreement.  If approved by the board, this agreement will be retroactive to January 1, 2018.  Discussions concerning personnel matters may be held in closed session, as needed, in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.

 

At the January 2 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board amend the employment agreement with Mr. Roland Ruiz based on the board’s evaluation of the General Manager at the December 12, 2017 board meeting.
