STAFF RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board amend the 2017 Operating Budget by increasing Capital Expenses by $89,056, and decreasing other line items accordingly.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an EAA staff recommendation to amend the 2017 operating budget by increasing the line item for Capital Expense by $89,056, and decreasing other line items accordingly. This transfer of funds from other line items to the Capital Expense line item is needed to effectuate the purchase and installation of computer network equipment from SHI considered earlier on this agenda. Attached to this item is a summary of this amendment.
Article VIII, Fiscal Policy of the EAA Bylaws, requires that any administrative transfer of funds within the operating budget must be within the General Manager’s signature authority. As this item exceeds the General Manager’s signature authority, it is coming before the Finance/Administrative Committee and board for approval.
