MOTION:
The board may make the following motion:
Move the board accept the resignation of Director Susan Hughes and declare the vacancy of Edwards Aquifer Authority Director District 6 in Bexar County.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to accept the resignation of Director Susan Hughes and declare the vacancy of EAA Director District 6 in Bexar County. Director Hughes submitted a letter of resignation to Chairman Luana Buckner on July 13, 2017. A copy of this undated letter and a copy of the email transmitting this letter are attached to this summary. The resignation became final and effective on July 21, 2017, and by operation of law, the position of District 6 became vacant.
Following this formal acceptance of Director Hughes' resignation and declaration of the District 6 vacancy, the board may interview and consider appointing a candidate later on this agenda.
