SUMMARY:

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Aquifer Management Planning Committee to receive the second in a series of briefings from EAA staff on the EAA Recharge Program.  This briefing will focus on the EAA's role in region-wide water planning.  The presentation will include:  a brief history of regional water planning efforts; key components of the 2016 Region L water plan; trends in water resources planning; and staff recommendations for the program's future.

These committee briefings follow the March 14 Technical Briefing, which provided an overview of the EAA's Enhanced Recharge Program and will help inform the board in advance of a more formal policy recommendation later in 2017.
