SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to receive a report from EAA staff describing proposed changes to the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan (EAHCP) to be made through the Adaptive Management Process (AMP).  In 2017, the EAHCP Implementing Committee will be considering AMP changes to the Sediment Removal and Contaminated Runoff conservation measures in San Marcos, as well as to the EAA's Aquifer Storage and Recovery Program.

 

This presentation was made to the EAHCP Science Committee at the March 8th meeting and will be presented to the EAHCP Implementing Committee and Stakeholder Committee at the joint meeting on March 16th.

This agenda item does not involve the procurement of goods or services by the EAA and, therefore, this section is not applicable.

 

 

STRATEGIC PLAN REFERENCE:

 

This agenda item supports the EAA's policy direction as set forth in the EAA 2016-20 Strategic Plan:  Goal A. Sustain Federally Protected Aquifer-Dependent Species.

 

Specifically, this item is related to the minimization and mitigation measures specifically intended to contribute to recovery that are found in Chapter 5 of the Edwards Aquifer Habitat Conservation Plan.
