The Executive Committee may make a motion on the request.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Executive Committee to consider a request from Director Ron Walton to be reimbursed for expenses associated with his $20 membership in the Guadalupe River Association. Section 13.04(b) of the EAA Bylaws states:
Directors may be reimbursed up to $250 per fiscal year for expenses…for activities directly related to and benefiting the Authority and its policies and objectives. Examples of such activities could include memberships in non-profit associations and organizations. Requests for approval to the Executive Committee for such reimbursements should include sufficient information to demonstrate the public purpose that will be advanced by the expenditure.
Following is Director Walton’s justification for this expense reimbursement request:
"Many of my constituents are concerned about Guadalupe stream flows. I can best represent them as a member of this association whose purpose is to address issues such as excessive upstream water rights which they feel are draining their water flows."

Funding in the amount of $20 is available in the 2017 Operating Budget.
