SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Research & Technology Committee to receive a presentation from EAA staff regarding the EAHCP Expanded Water Quality and Biological Monitoring Work Groups.  In early 2016, the EAHCP Biological Monitoring Program Work Group and the EAHCP Expanded Water Quality Monitoring Program Work Group were formed to produce final reports for review by the EAHCP Implementing Committee. The Work Groups were comprised of representatives from throughout the Edwards Aquifer Region and the charge of both Work Groups was to carry out a review of the current programs and to evaluate possible changes based on the recommendations of National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the NAS Work Group, the input of the EAHCP Science Committee, the EAHCP Permittees, and subject matter experts.
