SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Aquifer Management Planning Committee to receive a presentation from Dr. Marcio Giacomoni regarding proposed research to monitor stormwater quality and to determine the effectiveness of an existing sand filter basin on the UTSA campus located over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone. Future phases of the project intend to implement and monitor at least one alternative infiltration stormwater control measure low impact development structure on the campus. The attached abstract provides additional information and further describes the goals of this study.
