Consider recommendation from the Executive Committee to approve a Services Agreement between the Edwards Aquifer Authority and the Edwards Aquifer Conservancy.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the board approve a Support Agreement by and among the Edwards Aquifer Authority and the Edwards Aquifer Conservancy for the period July 9, 2024 through December 31, 2029.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to approve a new Services Agreement between the EAA and the Edwards Aquifer Conservancy (EAC) that would update a previously executed agreement to more accurately reflect the relationship between the two organizations, better define the benefits provided to the EAA from the EAC, and to provide a mechanism whereby the EAA could contribute financial support to the EAC with a goal of accelerating the EAC's path to financial independence.
At the meeting, staff and general counsel will walk the board through the agreement and will be available to answer any questions.
At the July 2 meeting, the Executive Committee voted to approve the motion above.

This agenda item does not involve the procurement of goods or services by the EAA and, therefore, this section is not applicable.

This agenda item supports the general EAA mission.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None at this time - any direct financial support to the EAC will be considered on a case-by-case basis through board consideration and action.
