RECOMMENDED MOTION:

 

Move the board amend the employment agreement with Mr. Roland Ruiz, as presented.

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the board to consider an Executive Committee recommendation to amend the employment agreement with Mr. Roland Ruiz. Attached to the summary is a draft letter agreement amending the terms of Mr. Ruiz’s employment contract based on the board’s evaluation of the General Manager at the December 10, 2024, board meeting. Legal counsel has reviewed this letter agreement. If approved by the board, this agreement will be retroactive to January 1, 2025. Discussions concerning personnel matters may be held in closed session, as needed, in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.

 

At the meeting on January 7, the Executive Committee voted to recommend the board approve amendments to the employment agreement with General Manager Roland Ruiz, as presented.
