RECOMMENDED MOTION:

None. This item is for informational purposes only.

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Stakeholder Committee to receive a report from Austin Rains, Regional Sales Manager at Frontier Precision, on the results of the Spring Lake Bathymetric LiDAR project. The EAHCP contracted Frontier Precision to assess the feasibility of using a bathymetric LiDAR sensor (YellowScan Navigator) attached to a drone to capture high-resolution, 3D data of the aquatic habitat in Spring Lake. Aquatic 3D data is often collected with sonar or manual measurements; this is the first known attempt to collect 3D data of the aquatic habitat in Spring Lake with a bathymetric LiDAR sensor. To learn more about the Spring Lake Bathymetric LiDAR project, view the attached EAHCP Steward newsletter.
