RECOMMENDED MOTION:

 

Move the Stakeholder Committee convene the Science Committee Vacancy Work Group and adopt the updated Work Group Charge to review nominations for the Stakeholder Committee appointee to the Science Committee.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The purpose of this agenda item is for the Stakeholder Committee to consider the staff recommendation to convene the Science Committee Vacancy Work Group and adopt the updated Work Group Charge for reviewing nominations for the Stakeholder Committee appointee to the Science Committee. The Stakeholder Committee and the Implementing Committee each are charged with appointing an equal number of members of the Science Committee, with one appointment made jointly. Currently, there is a vacancy, resulting from a resignation, for one of the positions appointed by the Stakeholder Committee.

 

This meets the obligations of Section 7.9.1 of the Funding and Management Agreement.
