RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move the Stakeholder Committee elect a nominee to serve on the committee as a representative of the owner of an EAA initial regular permit issued to a small municipality (population under 50,000) located east of San Antonio.
SUMMARY:
The purpose of this agenda item is for the Stakeholder Committee to elect someone to serve on the Committee as a representative of the owner of an EAA initial regular permit issued to a small municipality (population under 50,000) located east of San Antonio. Only nominations of persons whose nomination information was submitted to EAHCP staff before September 29, 2020 will be considered.
This position was formerly held by Jim Bower representing the City of Garden Ridge. On July 13, 2020, Mr. Bower resigned from this position on the EAHCP Stakeholder Committee and nominated David Heier, a committee member alternate and Chairman of the Garden Ridge Water Commission, as his replacement.
This requirement meets the obligations of Section 7.8.1(t) of the Funding and Management Agreement.
